Since opening its first German store in 1998, SNIPES has become an integral part of the retail landscape: With well-known brands and its own collections, SNIPES brings sneakers and streetwear to stores. Since its inception, the company has expanded massively and now operates more than 800 stores across 11 European markets and the USA.

As Head of Retail Operations at SNIPES, Daniele Silvio and his team ensure process efficiency and act as the interface between corporate strategy and everyday life in the stores. The advantages of the SafetyCulture platform, which SNIPES has been using successfully for over 10 years, play a central role in this.

Retail excellence begins with clear processes

Daniele recalls, “For a long time, there was no standardized method to better document and understand store visits, and record conversations with people and departments we work with on a daily basis. Each regional manager recorded this information in their own way. There was a strong need to make the process more efficient.”

Their quick decision to implement the SafetyCulture platform is still proving its value after more than 10 years. As a store manager at the time, Daniele experienced firsthand how the platform brought about immediate positive changes that convinced his team, such as improved company-wide collaboration and optimized information flow between departments.

Over the years, SafetyCulture has established a new, uniform standard at SNIPES. At the heart of this are detailed store check templates for reviewing areas such as store presentation, warehouse organization, administration, and safety. Daniele explains, “The ability to highlight positive aspects directly in the store check and at the same time define concrete actions for improvement was a game changer for us.” SNIPES also uses the platform for personnel issues such as target management for store managers and training certificate delivery.

They also collect feedback from store employees and test out other areas of the platform to ensure that SafetyCulture is practical and relevant to their frontline teams.
